The German-African Business Association (Afrika-Verein) together with the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Nigeria (AHK Nigeria) and the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy cordially invite you to the

German-Nigerian Business Series
between September 24th and November 10th, 2020 composed of 4 Sectoral Workshops
and the

8th German-Nigerian Business Forum on November 9th & 10th.

(All events will be held virtually)

While Nigeria is one of the most impacted countries in Africa by COVID-19, it is also still one of Germany’s most important partners on the African continent – and vice versa. However, there is a tremendous interest in increasing  private sector activities from Germany in Nigeria - it just needs the right partners, innovative approaches and long term commitment.

This is why this German-Nigerian Business Series aims to engage businesses from both countries in workshops to discuss current issues and develop new opportunities in order to discuss them and move them forward with the political stakeholders present at the 8th German-Nigerian Business Forum (GNBF).

In preparation of the German-Nigerian Business Series we conducted a survey to identify bottlenecks as well as goals for a stronger German-Nigerian cooperation. The results of this survey are reflected in the topics of this first of its kind event series composed as follows:

(finished) 24th September – Workshop I: FINANCING
(finished) 30th September – Workshop II: ENERGY
(finished) 08th October – Workshop III: HEALTH
(tbc) 21st October – Workshop IV: AGRICULTURE & PACKAGING

The business forum will focus on presenting & discussing the results of the workshops as well as the developments and opportunities in the areas of infrastructure/construction and start-ups/ innovation as well as consumer goods and manufacturing. It will also highlight best practices and include the presentation of market studies and virtual B2B sessions.
